Machine Pallet Wrap

Machine film, sometimes referred to as stretch film or machine pallet wrap are large rolls of polythene intended for use with pallet wrapping machines.  Stretch film is produced on 500mm wide rolls, using clear polythene. Black, blue and white film is also available to help identify different products or in some cases to provide an opaque cover that provides security of your products.

Machine film’s main purpose is to provide a secure solution for stabilizing pallets during transportation whether internally in your warehouse or out on the roads. It also provides a valuable barrier from moisture and dust damaging your products.  Machine Film provides huge cost saving over Hand Film – not just in operator comfort but in actual cost of each pallet wrapped.  This is due to the consistency of the wrap and the extra stretch provided during the wrapping process.


We supply a variety of different types of film, but which type is right for you and your business? This very much depends on the kind of pallet wrapping machine you have in your warehouse.      

  • Performance machine films – are next generation machine films that replace traditional thicker micron PPS and Standard films with thinner higher-performance films. Although performance films are thinner, the raw material used to produce these films is higher quality, therefore stronger. In our range you can find performance films suitable for core break pallet wrappers and for power pre-stretch pallet wrappers. Our performance machine films are at least 17.5kg per roll and help to reduce downtime during the changeover of rolls.
  • Power Pre-Stretch machine film (PPS) – these films are stretched during production before being wound onto rolls. PPS films are supplied on 16kg rolls and are most suitable for use on power pre-stretch pallet wrapping machines and typically have 250% stretch capability. These films are best used on a machine capable of making the full use of the stretch. 
  • Standard machine films – these films are suitable for use on standard core break pallet wrapping machines and have a stretch capability of 150% or less. These films will not work on a power pre-stretch pallet wrapping machine.
  • 30% Recycled Machine Film.
