Gummed Paper Tape

This is a type of adhesive tape that is used for a variety of packaging and shipping needs, including sealing boxes, reinforcing corners and bundling items together. It is commonly found in e-commerce environments as the tape gives a consistent seal that is tamper evident and can help businesses create a professional and personalized look for their packages.

The tape is activated by moistening the adhesive side, which causes it to become sticky, allowing it to adhere to boxes and other surfaces. The tape is then left to dry, creating a strong bond that helps to secure packages during shipping.

Gummed paper tape is made with a water-activated adhesive that is derived from natural materials, such as starch. It is more environmentally friendly option than plastic tapes, as it does not produce any harmful waste and can break down over time. It is 100% recyclable.

Gummed paper tape can also be hugely cost effective as you only need to use one strip of tape per seal. The Water Activated Tape dispensers also cut your tape to specific pre-set lengths to help avoid waste.

Standard Gummed Paper Tape

Standard, but still extremely strong. The tape bonds with the fibres of the cardboard box to provide a tamper evident seal.

This type of tape is available in both 100m and 200m roll lengths.

Reinforced Gummed Paper Tape

Reinforced tape has additional woven filaments that run through it to strengthen the seal boxes more securely. It is ideal for packaging heavier items. It is available in roll lengths of 200m to help reduce the amount of downtime from roll changes.
